James Clancy Senior (ACIS)


 

Having trained as a Company Secretary with Craig Gardner & Co. (now Pricewaterhouse Coopers), James (Snr) qualified as a Chartered Secretary in 1974.  Moving to Kinnear & Co. (now Grant Thornton) as Assistant Manager, he later took up the position of Manager in 1979.  Since first qualifying he has obtained considerable experience in all aspects of compliance and specialised secretarial work.  James also has experience of all aspects of insolvency and receivership work, including major voluntary creditor and compulsory Court Liquidations.  He is a Graduate of UCD and a former lecturer in Company Secretarial Practice at the College of Commerce, Rathmines, Dublin.  He commenced self employment as a company law advisor in 1985.

James (Jnr) qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte in Dublin in 2004, where he gained valuable experience in providing accounting, auditing, taxation, company secretarial and advisory services to large multinational companies and the SME sector.  From 2006 –  2009 he worked with Deloitte, Christchurch, New Zealand on a varied portfolio of clients encompassing indigenous companies, as well as overseas subsidiaries across a number of different sectors. From 2009 – 2011, he worked with Irish Nationwide Building Society, Head Office, Dublin in their NAMA Unit as an Experienced Financial Analyst dealing with compliance and a wide range of insolvency situations.  From 2011, he has been a director with James Clancy & Associates. He is a Graduate of DIT Aungier Street. James is also a qualified Chartered Secretary with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.
